"How many sessions will I need, and how long will the results actually last?" These are the two questions I am asked most often about babyGLOW, and they deserve straightforward answers. Unlike many skin treatments where the plan feels vague, babyGLOW by Teoxane is built around three clearly defined protocols, each designed for a different age group and set of skin concerns.
I am Dima Alomar, a GPhC-registered Clinical Prescriber Pharmacist, and I personally administer every babyGLOW treatment at our Wimpole Street clinic in Marylebone, within the Harley Street medical district. In this article I will explain each protocol exactly as it is designed to be used, who it suits, what a realistic results timeline looks like, and how to keep your results going once your course is complete.
The Short Answer: One, Two or Three Sessions
babyGLOW is delivered through one of three protocols:
- Glow Protocol: a single session for instant radiance, suitable for all adult age groups.
- Beautification Protocol: a course of two sessions spaced four weeks apart, designed for ages 20 to 35.
- Rejuvenation Protocol: a course of three sessions at weeks 0, 4 and 10, designed for ages 36 and over.
Whichever protocol you complete, maintenance sessions every four to six months are recommended to sustain and extend your results.
What Is babyGLOW and Does It Work?
babyGLOW is an injectable skin revitalisation treatment from Teoxane, the Swiss company renowned for its premium hyaluronic acid formulations. It was developed with input from more than 20 expert injectors around the world, and it aims to deliver something most skin boosters struggle to achieve: an immediate, visible glow alongside genuine long-term improvement in skin quality.
The product at its core is TEOSYAL Redensity 1, which combines non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with a patented Dermo-Restructuring Complex of eight amino acids, three antioxidants, two minerals and vitamin B6. This formulation does not simply hydrate the skin; it supports collagen production, improves elasticity and helps restore a healthy, luminous radiance.
Just as important is the technique. babyGLOW uses a standardised 8-point protocol on each side of the face, placing the product into the immediate subdermis at anatomically defined points chosen to optimise diffusion and maximise light reflection across the surface of the skin. Clinical imaging confirms that the product diffuses rapidly within 30 minutes of injection. You can read a full breakdown of the formulation and technique on our babyGLOW treatment page.
The Three Protocols in Detail
Glow Protocol: A Single Session for Instant Radiance
The Glow Protocol is one session, designed for when your skin needs a rapid refresh. It is ideal before a wedding, a holiday or a special event, or simply any time you want your skin to look its best. It is suitable for all adult age groups.
This is the protocol I recommend when the goal is a short-term boost rather than a structured course of skin improvement. It is also a sensible way to experience babyGLOW before committing to a full course.
Beautification Protocol: Two Sessions for Ages 20 to 35
The Beautification Protocol is a course of two sessions spaced four weeks apart, designed for patients aged 20 to 35. At this stage the priority is usually maintaining youthful skin quality, preventing the early signs of ageing and building a foundation of long-term skin health, rather than correcting established changes.
Rejuvenation Protocol: Three Sessions for Ages 36 and Over
The Rejuvenation Protocol is the most comprehensive option: three sessions delivered at weeks 0, 4 and 10, designed for patients aged 36 and over. It is best suited to dull or fatigued skin, visible texture changes, loss of radiance and firmness, and skin that has been environmentally stressed or sun-damaged.
The age brackets are a useful guide, but they are not rigid rules. During your consultation I assess your skin condition and your objectives, then recommend the protocol that fits you rather than simply the one that matches your date of birth.
When Will You See Results?
A realistic timeline matters more than an optimistic one, so here is what patients typically experience:
- Immediately after treatment: you may notice an improvement in skin luminosity straight away. Mild redness or very slight swelling at the injection sites typically resolves within a few hours to 24 hours, and most patients return to normal activities the same day.
- The first few days: many patients notice an emerging glow and improved radiance within a few days of the first session.
- The following weeks: skin quality continues to improve as the active ingredients support collagen production and cellular repair.
- After completing your protocol: full results, including improved firmness, texture and lasting radiance, develop once your recommended course is complete.
This is why I encourage patients on the Beautification or Rejuvenation protocols to judge the outcome after the final session, not the first. Each session builds on the last.
How Long Do babyGLOW Results Last?
Results typically last up to six months. To sustain and extend them, I recommend a maintenance session every four to six months once your initial protocol is complete.
Skin is a living organ, and factors such as sun exposure, sleep, stress and general health all influence how it behaves over time. Maintenance sessions exist precisely because skin quality is something you look after continuously rather than fix once.
How Does babyGLOW Compare with Standard Skin Boosters?
Standard skin booster treatments in London typically involve a course of two to three sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, with results lasting six to nine months and many patients choosing a single top-up session every six months. They focus primarily on deep hydration.
babyGLOW takes a broader approach: it combines hydration with active skin nourishment through its complex of amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamin B6, and its 8-point technique is designed for fast, even diffusion. If you are weighing the two options, the right choice depends on your skin condition and your goals, which is exactly what a consultation is for.
What Does babyGLOW Cost?
babyGLOW is £450 per session at DimAllure. Your consultation is £50 and fully redeemable against your treatment, and a planning benefit may be available when a full course is booked at the time of consultation. You can view our full treatment price list for every option we offer.
Which Protocol Is Right for You?
As a simple starting point:
- Choose the Glow Protocol if you want your skin at its best for a specific date, or you would like to try babyGLOW before committing to a course.
- Choose the Beautification Protocol if you are aged 20 to 35 and your focus is prevention and maintaining skin quality.
- Choose the Rejuvenation Protocol if you are 36 or over, or your skin shows dullness, texture change, or loss of firmness and radiance that needs deeper restoration.
babyGLOW is also a gentle introduction to injectable treatments, because it focuses on skin quality rather than volume or structure. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have an active skin infection at the treatment site. The honest answer to which protocol you need is always the one that follows a face-to-face assessment.
