Treatment begins with a consultation and a numbing cream for comfort. The filler is then placed precisely using a fine needle or cannula. The treatment takes around 30 to 45 minutes.
Some swelling, tenderness, and occasionally minor bruising is normal in the first 24 to 48 hours, and the lips can look fuller than the final result at first. This settles within a few days, with the true result visible after about two weeks.
