Safe, expert removal and correction of unwanted, lumpy, or migrated dermal filler, performed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.
Book Your ConsultationNot every filler journey goes to plan. Whether you have been left with lumps, unevenness, filler that has migrated, or simply too much volume, dermal filler can be safely and effectively removed. At DimAllure, filler dissolving and correction is carried out personally by Dima Alomar, a GPhC-registered Clinical Prescriber Pharmacist, using hyaluronidase, a prescription-only enzyme.
Filler dissolving is a quick treatment that breaks down hyaluronic acid dermal filler using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that gently dissolves the filler so your body can naturally clear it. Within 24 to 48 hours, the treated filler breaks down and the area returns towards its natural state.
Because hyaluronidase is a prescription-only medicine, it can only be legally prescribed and administered by a qualified medical professional. As a GPhC-registered prescriber, Dima is fully qualified to assess, prescribe, and perform this treatment safely.
Filler dissolving and correction is suitable if you are experiencing any of the following:
Filler dissolving is not a treatment to take lightly, and it is not one that every injector can legally perform. Hyaluronidase carries a small risk of allergic reaction, requires careful dosing, and demands a thorough understanding of facial anatomy to dissolve the right filler without affecting your natural tissue.
This is exactly why correction should be carried out by a medically qualified prescriber. Dima will assess your concern honestly, explain what is realistic, and carry out the treatment with the care it deserves. If you were treated elsewhere and are unhappy, you are in safe, experienced hands.
Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation and assessment. Where appropriate, a patch test is carried out beforehand to check for any sensitivity to hyaluronidase. On treatment day, the enzyme is injected precisely into the areas of unwanted filler. The treatment itself takes around 15 to 30 minutes.
You can expect some swelling, redness, and occasionally bruising in the first 24 to 48 hours. As the filler dissolves, the area will look softer and may appear deflated at first, since both the filler and any volume it was creating are removed. This settles as swelling subsides.
Most people see results within 24 to 48 hours, with the full effect visible in 1 to 2 weeks. Stubborn or larger amounts of filler may need a second session. If you would like to have new filler placed, we recommend waiting around two weeks to allow the area to settle fully before any fresh treatment.
If you are considering starting again, our dermal filler treatments are always planned conservatively and naturally. The goal is balance, not volume for its own sake.
If you are unhappy with previous filler, or simply want an honest, medical opinion, book a consultation and Dima will talk you through your options.
2 Wimpole Street, Marylebone, London. Personally administered by a GPhC-registered prescriber.
Book Your ConsultationIn the hands of a qualified medical prescriber, filler dissolving is a safe and well-established treatment. Hyaluronidase has been used in medicine for decades. The main consideration is a small risk of allergic reaction, which is why a patch test may be carried out beforehand and why treatment should always be performed by a prescriber who can manage any reaction.
Most people find the treatment very tolerable. The injections are quick, and any discomfort is brief. The area may feel tender for a day or two afterwards.
The filler begins breaking down almost immediately, with most of the effect visible within 24 to 48 hours and the final result visible in 1 to 2 weeks. Larger or older areas of filler may need a second session.
Hyaluronidase dissolves hyaluronic acid filler, which is the most common type used for lips, cheeks, and tear troughs. It does not dissolve non-hyaluronic-acid fillers such as collagen stimulators. Dima will confirm during your consultation whether your filler is suitable for dissolving.
Once swelling settles, the treated area returns towards how it looked before filler. It may appear softer or smaller at first, because the filler and the volume it created are both removed. This is normal and is not a sign that anything is wrong.
Yes. If you would like fresh filler, we usually recommend waiting around two weeks after dissolving so the area can settle fully before any new treatment.
Absolutely. Many of our correction patients were treated at another clinic. Book a consultation and Dima will assess the area, explain your options honestly, and recommend the safest way forward.
