Considered anti-wrinkle injections to soften the frown lines between the brows, performed personally by a GPhC-registered prescriber pharmacist on Wimpole Street.
Book Your ConsultationFrown lines are the vertical lines that form between the eyebrows, often called the 11 lines or the glabella lines. They appear when we concentrate, squint or frown, and over time the repeated movement can leave them visible even at rest. Because they sit at the centre of the face, frown lines can give an unintentionally tired, tense or cross expression. Anti-wrinkle injections are a widely used way to soften these lines by relaxing the muscles that create them.
At DimAllure on Wimpole Street, frown line treatment is carried out personally by Dima Alomar, a GPhC-registered Clinical Prescriber Pharmacist. This page is an educational overview. As a prescription-only treatment, anti-wrinkle injections are only ever provided after a face-to-face consultation and assessment.
The frown lines are created by a group of small muscles between the brows that pull them together. Anti-wrinkle injections relax these muscles, reducing the movement that deepens the lines. As the area softens, the skin between the brows has the chance to smooth, and the frown tends to look less set. Many people find the area looks more relaxed and rested as a result.
The approach here is conservative and natural. The aim is to soften the frown while keeping your expression your own, rather than freezing the area.
Every frown line treatment begins with a consultation, which costs £50 and is fully redeemable against your treatment. The muscles between the brows work closely with the forehead and the area around the eyes, so the whole upper face is assessed together. Dima will review your movement and your medical history, discuss your goals and give an honest view of what is realistically achievable. If treatment is not suitable for you, you will be told so.
The treatment is quick, usually taking between fifteen and thirty minutes. A small number of injections is placed into the muscles between the brows with a very fine needle. Most people find it very tolerable. There is no significant downtime, and most people return to their day straight away, though you may have small raised areas at the injection points for a short time and occasionally minor bruising.
Results develop over about two weeks rather than immediately, and every treatment includes a review at two weeks so Dima can check the result and make any small adjustment. The effect typically lasts around three to four months.
The upper face is often treated as a whole. Many people who address their frown lines also consider their forehead lines and the lines around the eyes, as treating these together can give a more balanced, harmonious result. Dima will only ever recommend what genuinely suits you. You can read more on our anti-wrinkle injections in London page.
